Specify the time (seconds) for which the N4 client must wait for the XPS server before timing out. Also called the XPS_SOCKET_TIMEOUT setting. If this setting is set too low, you might see the following error on a receive export (RE) or Deliver Import (DI) gate transaction.
ERROR [TP-Processor20 ] [TpcClient:45] (24244543) Exception when sending message:
java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
If you use a Scaled N4 XD service, this setting also specifies the time (in seconds) for which N4 must wait for the vessel discharge decking Bento response from a N4 XD server or the XPS server. For more information, see Monitoring Scaled N4 XD service decking requests (on page 1) in the Yard manual.
The default value for ARGOXPS006 is 10. The minimum value for ARGOXPS006 is 1 and the maximum value is 60. This should be set higher for Automation sites.
The value you set for this setting depends upon the expected network traffic/load of the terminal.
